TELKA III "Sport" + Sagittar 95mm f3.5 lens + Leather bag. Very rare version of the already rare Telka III. The Bessa II is Highly regarded.
But In fact the Telka III is a much Superior camera for various reasons. Far more rigid body, the lens cannot swing like on the bessa II (not good for sharp images on the sides of the image). Very good, clear and much larger coupled range finder. A real pleasure to focus with.
Focusing patch FAR better than the bessa II (focusing is a difficult with it). Focusing is made on the lens itself, ensuring a better holding of the camera for stability, and not on a knob on top of the body. Easier "pop-out" of the lens, from the top of the body and not Underneath like on the bessa II.When the lens pops out with the camera is held horizontally (in normal shooting position) the lens locks itself, ready to shoot. The bessa II must be locked manually. Very sharp lens and I'd say sligthly sharper than the Bessa II even with the heliar Lens!! (I had three bessa II with heliar lens, made extensive tests with reversal film). Body covered with geniune leather, and not plastic leatherette. This camera is very clean and has few signs of wear, mostly on the top chromed cover; see detailed pictures. The lens is very nice, has few specks of dust Inside, but no haze, no fungus and no scratches. Hardly visible very small cleaning marks impossible to show here.
The Coupled range finder is very clear, clean and precise. The patch is clearly visible, there is a slight vertical misalignment, but has no impact on focusing. The focusing is smooth and precise. The bellow is light tight and in very good condition. The speeds are all correct, to the exception of the 1 second, closer to 1.3 second. The apperture blades are functional on all the apperture range. The delai mechanism works flawlessly. The camera lens pops-out and locks all by itself when the camera is held in shooting position.
(which the bessa cannot do). The rewind of the film is smooth.
The leather bag is in nice condition, but has a leather hinge underneath the top cover which is half cut. Lens Hood and Yellow filter in good condtion. Overall a very nice camera. L'item "TELKA III Sport + Sagittar 95mm f3.5 lens + Leather bag.
